"August, Again" is a compelling feature documentary film that delves into the lives of three survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, spanning Japan and South Korea.
Each August, these survivors gather in their community to remind the world the horrors they endured and advocate for change. Even after 78 years, the impact of those bombs remains vivid in their lives, but the world seems to have forgotten its atrocities, hurtling faster and faster towards another atomic bomb use.
Through intimate storytelling and research, "August, Again" is a call for global action. It urges us to confront the forgotten atrocities of the past and take decisive steps to prevent future tragedies.
Join us in bringing their powerful stories to the screen and igniting a movement for a safer, more compassionate world.
Our sense of urgency stems not only from the looming threat of another nuclear weapon use but also from the diminishing voice of survivors due to their advancing age. With the average age of Hibakusha being 85 years old, in a few years, we may no longer have any atomic bomb survivors among us. These individuals have dedicated their lives to advocating for the abolition of nuclear weapons, and we cannot afford to lose their firsthand accounts and tireless activism.
